@locavore_mama: my 16 month old can handle them just fine (though he doesn't get them often). cascadian farm makes small kid-sized ones, not sure on the nut free, I think they're oatmeal raisin?

Gerber makes toddler bars as part of their graduates line. Should be in the baby food aisle. They are like nutragrain bars, but they dissolve pretty fast. That might be a good option if the class has kids with different eating abilities.

@locavore_mama: those are cute, but don't do quaker, they aren't nut safe. earth's best cereal bars are smaller than regular ones

@locavore_mama: we have found that most granola bars have nuts or nut products in them so we can't bring them to daycare. Something to check on before you plan too far.

For some reason D doesn't like chewy brand ones at all. I think they crumble too much or somethingn. She prefers the softer clif bars.

@Beyond2: that's a cute idea! But it's food for daycare party.

And I just remembered all the bars I have at home have whole nuts in them and daycare is nut free.

I think I might just pick up some quaker oat cereal bars or soft and chewy Kashi bars.
Do bars ever come in half or mini sizes?!

I saw this craft for Easter and thought it would be super simple and festive to make for daycare Easter party.
http://www.kiwicrate.com/projects/Bunny-Ear-Chocolate-Bars/2489

I typically give LO chewy Kind granola bars. But I'm not sure if all 2year Olds have the capability to eat that?

What else would you suggest I use besides chocolate bars? I suppose I could do a soft granola bar like a nutrigrain bar?
