@autumnlove: my friends LO was 17 no when her sibling was born :) He's 2.5 mo now and my friend said her toddler has really started to understand that she needs to wait a little for mommy so hopefully yours just needs a few more weeks :)

It depends. Yes, most of the time she's begging to be held, but then as soon as she needs to be held in church or something, she wants to get down and be all squirmy.

he loooves being held. He is always coming up to me and asking to be held. If I sit on the floor to play with him, he will play and be less clingy. but if I'm on my computer, cleaning or making dinner he wants to be held. I can usually buy myself 5-10 minutes by feeding him haha.

She has her moments, but usually she's very independent. I wouldn't mind if she wanted to be held more.

My LO at 22 months is SUPER clingy.

I am trying to be better at trying to get her to "hold my hand and walk" instead of me picking her up all the time.

Oh please tell me it does not get worse once the sibling is born?! My friend just told me yesterday that her LO's clinginess got better after her brother was born...sigh I think my LO will be like yours!

DS likes to be held all the time, even in his sleep. He's 25 mo and almost 30 lbs. He is heavy to be carrying around especially while pregnant and trying to walk two dogs....

My LO is 17 months (prob 24-25 lbs) and she likes being held all the time! This definitely got worse after her little sister was born.
