Lunches and snacks are included in tuition. They give us the menus, and i indicate what she can't have. I supplement all her meals with extras from home. I would have preferred it if lunches weren't included and we had lower tuition!

Ours does, but if your child has dietary restrictions you can pack your own lunch. I think this is an ADA/religious thing that they're required to comply with.

LO is still in the crib room, but I know they provide snacks for toddlers (parents rotate bringing a snack weekly) but not meals.

I'm kind of glad...I'd just rather know exactly what/how much LO is eating.

Our daycare provides hot meals and they are included in the tuition price and AWESOME. Everything is homemade, the only meat they use is from a local, organic farm. Every meal includes a fresh veggie and fresh fruit, along with the "main".

They also serve breakfast and afternoon snack, but those are usually cold - cheese, veggies, fruit, crackers, hummus, etc.

They have hot meals and it's great. The food is mostly healthy (fresh fruits, organic milk) and it's one less thing I have to worry about! My son also eats way better at school than he does at home. Sometimes I look at his chart at the end of the day and I'm like "he ate broccoli and chicken?!". He eats things he wouldn't touch if I made them at home.

If I were you I would still say something since the decision will directly affect you. Daycare provides meals (I think they're hot?) and it's included in the tuition but we still bring in her lunch and typically afternoon snack as well. We let her participate in morning snack and lately more of the afternoon snacks as well. I do not plan to stop bringing in lunch. But you might want to confirm if they start doing this will they still let you bring in her own lunch?

@lamariniere: this is why we let her participate with the other kids during snack times. :) Frankly, their lunches are not items we would ever eat at home so I do not want to let her eat it. I'll continue to pack her lunch until she's old enough to complain. ;)

Yes and I like it. They have good food and it's mostly healthy and she eats it...except for veggies. LOL! I HATED making her lunch when she was at the other daycare. She was so picky and it just tired me out doing that every night and making sure it wasn't too complicated. Now that she's almost 2, it might be easier though.lol

We have to provide all of our own food, but I would love to have the option to choose either an entire week, three or two days of hot lunch. Technically my son's lunches are "hot" because they heat it up for him, but I would like him to experience a wider range of food, which he does at daycare, but not at home.

Ours does hot meals and LO eats everything most days. She eats much better at daycare than she does at home. She won't eat meat at home, but chows down at daycare. I guess its little baby peer pressure!

I want to say yes, but I don't like the food.

Lunch is included in the tuition, but I have seen what they eat and, while it isn't horrible, I would prefer he eat other food. However, I don't want to make lunch for him (not even sure it is an option) and have him feel singled out eating different food from all the other kids.

Currently LO is still in the infant and early toddler room, but will soon be moving to the older toddler room. THey just put up a sign that they are thinking about serving hot meals in that room for breakfast and lunch and will include it in the tuition, they put up a sample menu too. They put up a poll for parents to vote for or against this, but only parents who have toddlers in that room can vote. so those of us who have toddlers that are just about to move in cant vote. Personally I dont want to pay extra for the school lunch because there are lots of things my daughter doesn't eat and I want to provide her own food. Does your daycare provide all meals and do you like it? Do you feel that you saved money this way? Should I say something to the director or wait til my LO is actually moved to that room
