He can never move it out of the way to see his throat. Maybe you are experiencing allergies to something you are eating. I am prone to canker sores but this is the first time I have one on the side of my tongue... It's really disturbing. I have found that what I eat, like too much citrus, salt, will irritate my mouth and make things worse. I don't think it's really possible for your tongue to be too big, but maybe there is some inflammation at play? I have sores/ulcers on both sides, probably from biting my tongue or from it constantly hitting my teeth. I also have TMJ which has been acting up recently, but no clue how or if that is related. Anybody ever have this issue? So random and frustrating.
