We are blessed that although our dog (Newfoundland) can reach our counters, she has never eaten anything off of them. My cousin wasn't so lucky, she had an English Mastiff and made a pan of brownies which she left on the counter to cool. Once I had some awesome Japanese curry and I briefly left the room. I came back and it was intact but my dog had taken one lick of it. The only reason I knew was because he had a big drop of sauce right in the middle of his forehead!! </p> <p>He has also ruined my brothers birthday cake and eaten the fish left to defrost on the counter.
