The dog sheds all the time, but she goes through 2 phases a year where she grows in a new coat and literally sheds like MAD. I mean, I'll brush her every single day and I can still pull like clumps of fur from her. It lasts for about 2 weeks or so, and it sucks. Luckily the cat barely sheds and one of our dogs is long haired and doesn't shed but the other dog....ugh! She sheds enough for 4 animals! Shes short haired and has allergies so she scratches A LOT! If I had time I would vacuum everyday but we're usually only able to vacuum every few days. We have pergo floors downstairs so we sweep down there and then run the Dyson upstairs, but we have basically resigned ourselves to living a dog-hair-filled life.
