I agree on making sure the leg fringes are all pulled out. It makes a HUGE difference. Sizing up is an option or switching brands. I know Huggies make the elastic waistband that has the stretchy in the back to make it more fitting/tighter on the backside.

Time to move up a size. 14 lbs should be getting into size 3s. Might have to try a different brand. Also, pull the leg "tabs" out!

Given that your son is 14 lbs, size 1s will definitely be too small. It's possible that even size 2s are too small. When we have blowouts, that's usually a sign to move up to the next size! And make sure you get it on there tight enough so everything is contained and can't easily escape!

To keep it from coming out the legs, make sure the little fringe part around the leg opening is all pulled out.

As for the back, I don't have any advice. We had lots of blowouts too with disposables until he was older (after 6 months).

We mostly cloth, but have some disposables to make outings easier... Unfortunately almost every time we use the disposables, we have a poop blowout, sometimes up the back and sometimes out the legs, which really defeats the purpose. What am I doing wrong? Seems like these things aren't even made to contain poo!

He's 14lbs, normal proportions, I've tried Size 1 and Size 2 and it happens with both.
