We aren't Korean, and my husband's culture has a &#34;ceremony&#34; at age 1, where one of the activities is to lay out certain objects in a fan shape in front of the baby.  Each object represents a future career, and whatever the baby crawls to is supposed to show what they will do in life.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Our baby simultaneously grabbed an apple and a pencil, which apparently means she will never be hungry and she will be well educated.
