@PinkElephant: @Mrs. Lion: The tiny Disney princesses get more use of the dollhouse than the doll family we bought to go with it.

@PinkElephant: such a good point! Maybe we will go with the Peppa family and the PJ Masks instead. And no we definitely don't have a screen time problem...nothing to see here 😇😇😇😂😂😂

@PinkElephant: Totally agreed - our Peppa Pig family and Charlie Brown figurines get way more dollhouse play than the actual dollhouse dolls!

I hope this doesn't come across as unhelpful, but I've found my DDs play with everything BUT dolls that look like a family of people (if that makes sense) in their dollhouse....I swear we had some at one point, but I'm not sure what happened to them! Popular current choices are Calico Critter families and Lalaloopsy dolls, but their dinosaurs are pretty regular guests in the house, along with some occasional visits from miniatures like My Little Ponies and Shopkins :) I totally get that you may want traditional dolls, but if you're not finding any you like, you could go with animals rather than people families until you do find one you like.

We have Ryan's Room wood furniture and I like it a lot. It's similar to Hape.

I have the melissa & Doug ones and they're okay. I find them kind of hard to stand up.

I'm going to try the Hape Modern family next.

Hi all! I am looking for dolls/ furniture for our large dollhouse. Does anyone have a recommendation? I'm looking for wooden stuff that will hold up for a long time, and dolls in a variety of skin tones. Anybody have sets they love?
