@Rainbow Sprinkles: in the thick of it, 500 would be about 2.5 months (if my late night nursing math is right). I was taking 2 (10mg) pills, 4 times a day, then in the last couple months cut back to 3 times a day. The last few days I've been at 2 times a day so I might keep going with that and see if all goes well. I'm still also taking Fenugreek at the same time.

I think they advise you start with a lower dose and build up...I just googled and 2 pills 3-4 times a day seemed average-ish so I went for it. I kind if agree with @travelgirl1: , I'm not sure it was a miracle drug, or if it was/is more a placebo, as like I said, I never saw or noticed a huge change. I know some people on here have had awesome success with it though! I'd say give it a shot and see what happens!

@ms.janedoe: How long does it take to go through 500? How many do you take a day? Can some people take smaller doses than others?

1. My doctor prescribed it.
2. I did, maybe an ounce or more on each side.
3. No, although I was warned headaches could accompany it and stopping it suddenly could result in depression - I never suffered from either
4. I think it was about $30 per month
5. I stayed on it for about 6 weeks. Basically, my LO has a very slight build and the resident at our doctors was concerned about her weight. Even though the doctor wasn't, the resident's doubts scared me, then coupled with the fact DD was wearing a harness to treat hip dysplasia and so couldn't get in a good position to nurse effectively, I started freaking out that she wasn't gettingenough and as a knock-on, my supply had dropped. I'm not sure whether the meds worked so much as that they had a placebo effect and my confidence returned because I had faith in the meds which made me realise there wasn't really a problem anyway. But either way, I credit don for getting us through that rough patch. We went on to nurse without it until she was 17 months.

Ordered online from that New Zeland pharmacy.

Not pumping, nursing only, but has been enough to EBF. I by no means saw an increase huge enough to say I had an oversupply.

No negative side effects at all. Well, I guess maybe I've gained some weight. Since it's main use is in part to help move food along and aid in digestion kind if, I never really find myself "full."

I started by buying motilliun which was pricey, but switched to vomistop (generic) which is way cheaper. 65 bucks for 500 pills I think?

I'm still on it at 5.5 months. I've decreased how much I was taking by a little, but have been too paranoid to mess with it too much...

I am considering trying dom. Today was my second day in a row with getting ZERO ounces from my pump (yet LO still gulps happily when she is nursing and I have a strong let down...she never seems like she wants more).

I have some really basic questions:

1. Where did you get yours?
2. Did you notice a quantitative increase in your pumping output (like 3 oz per session to 6 oz per session?
3. Did you have any negative side effects?
4. How much did it cost?
5. Did you have to stay on it, or where you able to wean off? Did you notice a drastic dip in supply when you weaned off?
