I was pregnant, and then now that I'm breastfeeding, I don't want to worry about it negatively impacting my low supply. </p> <p>I've always had trouble passing the iron test to qualify to donate blood, and then my iron was so low while I was pregnant that I had to get IV infusions in the third trimester. </p> <p>I want to give my body some more time to replenish my vitamin stores. I had a cousin who was a hemophiliac and depended on blood transfusions his whole life so giving blood is something that's really important to me. But I've declined because I don't know if it's a good idea to give while breastfeeding. Anyone know? </p>
