@Pollywog: I donated through http://www.mothersmilk.org. Even if they aren't local (they're a few states away from me) they may still take it (they send you shipping containers), and if not, I bet they can point you to a more local milk bank to you? I'm not certain of what requirements they had in terms of alcohol, but I definitely had coffee ;)

someone posted on a local "attachment parenting" Facebook group. She literally asked me not a single question... I felt like good thing I am not a creeper or something.

Human milk for human babies. There's probably a Facebook group for your specific area. I knew there are here.

I currently have a freezer overflowing with frozen breastmilk that I'll likely never use. I would love to donate it, but don't know where to start. Are there any organizations you recommend? I've seen some organizations with really strict requirements that I don't meet. I do have an occasional glass of wine and daily coffee. I'm healthy and only take synthroid and the mini pill and am on a strict gluten free diet (if that matters)

I'm hoping that this oversupply is a temporary issue. I work 2 days a week and LO reverse cycles at daycare and I respond really well to the pump. As a result, I go to work and pump twice as much as he eats. There's always a surplus of fresh milk, so there's no reason to keep hundreds of ounces of the frozen stuff, especially because he's still so young. Bottom line is that it's milk or ice cream and I want ice cream.

Any suggestions?
