She says that people donating "stuff" like clothes, shoes and household items creates a secondary disaster. Many local organizations have stopped collecting clothes for now because they have so many donations and it requires a lot of man power to sort through everything. Instead organizations like our temple and Jewish federation were incredibly amazing.
