I have no idea if this is relevant or not, but someone I know just had their baby in NICU for 10 days after birth because of blood sugar issues. One of the reasons they wouldn't release the baby to go home was because his blood sugar would fall while he was sleeping, which in turn made him extra drowsy. So he would sleep for long stretches of time. They kept having to wake him for all his feeds because this and they didn't want to send him home until his sugars were stable enough that he would wake up from hunger and cry to be fed. Again, I have zero idea if this is relevant to your situation since your baby is older, but thought I'd note it.

MY LO was similar and slept 7-8 hours by the time she was 8 weeks old, however she always had wet diapers when she woke, what would concern me.

My LO was eating 6-7 times a day at that age, all breast milk, with no problems. However, you may need more feedings with your supply issues.

Trust your babe. She will tell you what she needs.

My DD was the same way. And at 3 months she started sleeping 11-12 hours at night. Then the 4 month regression hit and it all went to hell. So I say enjoy it while it`s happening and be aware that it may change in the future.

ETA: DD was EBF and my supply adjusted just fine.

to be clear-- she doesn't go 10-8 with no diaper change usually. she goes usually 10-4 or 5, then pees while i nurse her. then usually wakes up in the am dry but again, pees when i nurse her first thing. but 10-5 does still seem like a long stretch. will def ask!

My LO did the same thing at that age. Bed around 9pm and one wakeup around 5, slept til 7:30-8am. She usually had a wet diaper though at 5am but there were a few occasions when it was dry and I was worried. As long as LO is gaining sufficient weight I wouldn't worry too much. I'd enjoy the great sleep if I were you!

I'm jealous too! I can't relate because my boys are piggies. At this age, DS was waking up twice to eat at night (as is Leo). And Leo gained 3 pounds his first month and I'm guessing 2-3 pounds so far this month.

I say enjoy it because it may not last!

DS did have dry diapers once or twice but I would ask the doctor about that.

I don't think the dry diapers is bad. I had a bad sleeper - got up to nurse every 90 min at that age and her diapers were soaked. But she was eating every 90 min. On the fluke days where she went a long time between eating, she didn't have super wet diapers. And peed while nursing. I think there is a eating - peeing/pooing trigger. I'm sure I read that somewhere.

My LO started STTN at 8wks, roughly 12hrs per night. I thought this was great, but I was still trying to EBF and because she wasn't waking for food at all, my supply bottomed out and I couldn't recover. So I would say that as long as you keep feeding her around 4-5am and her weight continues to be healthy (my LO was losing weight around this time) it's probably ok.

I'm not really sure about the lack of pee. Could you ask your ped? My LO's nappy is always very heavy come the morning.

No advice since I'm a newbie mom as well, but my experience is that Gio sleeps about 3-4 hrs stretches and after each wake up his diaper is soaked. We are using cloth FT though, not sure if that would make a difference.

My LOs started sleeping through the night (8-10 hours around that age) consistently at 8 weeks with no overnight feedings. They were at good weights so I didn't worry about it since they produced wet diapers.

I would enjoy it and check with the LC and ped!

lol i know... i don't want to complain bc it is awesome! i just want to make sure it is okay. She's just over 11 lbs now I think. I think she should be taking 25-30 oz/day. but since I'm bf her now and not pumping anymore i have no clue how much she is getting. I bought a scale from BRU that is not for weighted feedings, but thought it might give me a rough estimate of how much she eats. but i feel like it isn't accurate so I just don't know. I have an LC appt tomorrow and I'll be super interest to see how much she is transferring. Last visit @ 4 weeks she was transferring 2 oz (same as at 3 week visit). I'm hoping now she's getting at least 3? but we'll see

Damn girl I'm jealous! Mine have been sleeping from 9:30-3 on occasion and I thought that was awesome. I'm slightly worried the ped will say don't let them go that long though, so I understand your worry. Our LC said once that babies should be consuming 24 oz in 24 hrs once they get to 8 lbs. so I've been using that as a guide. (Not sure how big Fia is now?) we've been feeding 10-13 times/24 hr period (yeah that's been great for my nipples!) plus formula supplement so I figure it's ok to let them go longer at night. Do you have any idea how much Fia is taking her feeding? Also I noticed around 8 weeks that my kids were waking up dry after naps (1-2 hrs) so maybe that's just the norm?

Oh, and my pediatrician gave us a little feeding chart that made me feel better when my baby started eating fewer times a day. I can't find it right now, but after 6 weeks or so the minimum feedings per day they suggested was 5.

My guy is sometimes dry or dry-ish overnight, which always freaks me out. If she's got the wet diapers during the day, you probably don't need to be concerned, but it's worth mentioning.

My LO slept similarly at that age. Generally 10 pm to 5/6 and then back down until 7 or 8. It was awesome and I consider myself lucky. And I was plenty nervous too. :)

I agree with @hilsy85: --the only part that would concern me is the lack of wet diapers overnight.

Since she's not going to bed until 10 I think it's totally reasonable (and expected) that she'd sleep past 8. My LO has pretty much always slept 11-12 hours overnight, so at that age she'd wake at 7/7:30 for the day but we put her to bed by 8.

@Mae: when she does have wet diapers are they WET? Like heavy wet?

I'm guessing that if she were hungry she would wake to eat, so my gut says that you should enjoy it while it lasts! But I would mention the lack if wet diapers to the pedi just in case...

@hilsy85: She hasn't been professionally weighed since 5 weeks at her 1 month visit-- which was when we got the okay to stop waking to feed. At that point she was 10lb 3 oz. I did get a home scale this weekend due to my stressing about her eating... but its so hard because every time I weigh her it is different. I think she varies a lot through the day and/or the scale sucks lol. I thinks he weighs in the low 11 lbs range though. So about 1 lb gain in 3 weeks.

@Mae: Well, Xander was only eating 7 times at that age and that was just breast milk, so I would think if your LO is breastfeeding AND supplement with formula, she's PROBABLY okay! When is your next appointment to check weight? And does she have a lot of wet diapers during the day, if she's not peeing much at night?

@Adira: I don't know. This is part of my stress factor. I'm still struggling with trying to breastfeed her. So every feed she gets breastfed (no clue how much she gets) and then supplemented. After I BF her she does her hungry cry and I give her formula-- but she sort of fights it (I think she is having issues switching back and forth between boob/milk and bottle/formula). Usually like 5-10 oz of formula through the day though.
