A family that I nannied for, in my youth, used their bike trailer as a stroller. I never ran with it, but I did push two little kids around and I liked it a lot. I am not a runner, but I do like to ride my bike so I plan on getting a bike trailer in the future.

We just got a combo double stroller/bike trailer at Costco. I can't testify to how well the stroller part works, but the bike trailer is great - easy to install, doesn't feel like much extra weight on the bike.

Similar to this one http://www.amazon.com/Suspension-Children-Bicycle-Trailer-Jogger/dp/B00B3EJ39G

I just have a single bob and I love it.

The thule chariots and chinooks for running/biking/skiing look amazing and have great reviews...but even pricier. But you only have one piece of equipment.

I bought the bob first and ended up buying a separate thule bike trailer for around $250. So I still probably spent $600 on both together (I got the bob for $350). They do have some cheap bike trails with pretty good reviews for around $100.

I would go with whatever you could get more use out of. But ideally maybe look for a combo one!! Personally I like running better so if I had to choose I'd do the bob because I use it 4x a week in nice weather.

i only have one LO but i use my stroller all the time so i'd probably go for the stroller over the bike trailer unless it was just a way better deal.

Hmm. We run more than bike so our double BOB has been great and we've put a lot of miles on it.

Although, we just got a bike trailer that converts into a double running stroller but I don't think it's as smooth as the bob.

I don't think we can afford either, really, but I've been reeeeally wanting a bob double stroller lately. Lo2 is a chunk and getting heavy to wear, and lo1 doesn't love the stroller, but struggles to stay motivated on long walks. I've been stalking classifieds looking for one lately.

But I also think a bike trailer would be awesome. Again, would have to find it used.

If you were going to get one or the other, what would you choose?
