Do you plan on trying to sell/move anytime soon? If yes, I would say double cause that would be a good selling point. If no, and you really never use it, go for a single and microwave, or whatever would make your life easiest.

I'm not a huge baker but I regularly use the double over when I'm hosting a large gathering, or when I'm making two things for dinner that need difference temperatures.

If you have a space for a double oven and this isn't your forever home, I would put one in as it might help resale.

@Myicitygirl: no worries! I don't like the microwave over the stove. I don't really see the need for a double oven if you don't want it. So put them together. My parents did it and it looks great. They did do a convection microwave so you could tedchnically treat it like two ovens if you really wanted too

@oliviaoblivia: @T.H.O.U.: wow, I was distracted (by my toddler) while composing this on my phone, but it is pretty awful! Total mom brain fart. Anyway, I fixed the poll.

I can't edit the text about not wanting a microwave in the cabinetry - I meant a separate microwave positioned no where near a wall oven (my current setup). I am open to a microwave/oven combo unit or separate microwave installed right above a wall oven.

I'm not sure I understand your second poll choice. I would do a microwave over the oven in the wall.

I don't bake and LOVE having a double oven! Two full size pizzas at the same time, thanksgiving is a (relative) breeze, things can be kept warm while other items cook. I'll never go back to a single!

Your poll questions are kind of messed up.

I'm also lost at "For our kitchen remodel, we can install a new double oven or do a microwave oven with gas oven underneath. I do not want a microwave/hood combo or a microwave installed in the cabinetry."
If you don't want it in the mill work or as a range hood, the only option left is on the counter, but that's not in the poll.

I bake occasionally and host Thanksgiving every three years. I would LOVE a double oven. If anything, I would use the smaller top oven to cook dinner most nights.

I'm a baker, so of course a double oven sounds appealing for me. But, there are times when I'm making dinner and I need the oven set at two different temperatures. I would be all for a double oven. But, in your case, it's what your family would get the most use out of.

Hi, another remodel question! Currently we have a double gas oven but I never use the lower oven because I rarely bake and there is no child lock (!)

For our kitchen remodel, we can install a new double oven or do a microwave oven with gas oven underneath. I do not want a microwave/hood combo or a microwave installed in the cabinetry.

I am not a baker, but is it worth it to have the double oven?
