I had a UBV with rumble seat... great solution temporarily... but like pp mentioned, the lack of recline of the rumble and the inability to face it any other way caused us to outgrow it after a few months. Also with the heavier kid in the rumble, it's very hard to make turns. Loved the stroller overall though...

so I took my time after that with our next double purchase and got the Mountain Buggy Duet. Side by side is easier to push, in our case... I also wanted something as narrow as possible and this one is as narrow as the MB Urban Jungle (a single stroller!!). That won me over... Large basket underneath too, which is why I didn't like the Maclaren doubles or City Mini Double.

I also found the Maclaren doubles to be heavier than I thought they'd be when I test drove them! At least if I was going to have to carry and push a heavy stroller around, I'd want a sturdier frame, and I found that with the MB Duet.

I've also done some light jogging with it. I didn't want to get the Bob double because it's just too big even when folded and storage is an issue for us. I have a Bob single already and love it, but the MB Duet is great all around for shopping, neighborhood walks, and light jogging.

We're getting the hauck freerider and it's only $305 from Albeebaby. You can remove the top seat and click in your infant carrier too.

I have 9 mo twins and two strollers right now - a BOB Revolution Duallie, and a Combi Twin Sport. The BOB is fantastic and I love it for walking and running, and going over uneven terrain like gravel and boardwalks. It's expensive, but here in the PNW the demand is so high that I should be able to resell it eventually for at least half of what I paid. The Combi is great for keeping in the back of the car and shopping, and it's cheap. I couldn't find a single stroller that I would be happy with for both shopping and legit running.

I love our double BOB and couldn't live without it! But like others have said, it's not great for shopping. I use the single BOB and baby wear when we go shopping (which is tough when trying on clothes).

I've been debating the same question but I've narrowed it down to a maclaren for sure. Just haven't decided between the twin triumph or techno. I definitely want an umbrella double stroller, I need more trunk space and a smaller footprint and something I can easily open and close several times a day and good for traveling since I do travel and go out quite a bit with the kids.
(2 y/o and 5 mth old). I had the uppababy vista with the rumble
Seat. On its own its a great stroller but the rumble Seat is such a tease and almost pointless since
It has no recline at all. It's also such a production every time I get in and out of the car

Does anyone own any of the two maclaren twins that can offer some insight ?

I'm going with either a double BOB or a Mountain Buggy duo when #2 comes along. Then I'll get an umbrella stroller for the car. I have a great B-Agile, but I've found that for 95% of the time I prefer the ruggedness of my BOB.

I have a double Bob and it is HUGE! I use it for running and going to my bootcamp class, however shopping with it is HORRIBLE! I would rather wear my 26lb son and make DD walk than drag it into a mall.
I had a Britax b-ready, which an airline broke, and LOVED IT! It is a front and back, so DS could be hidden when he was still small, and it wasn't too big to go into the mall with.
If I had to redo it I would get the Baby Jogger City Select Double Stroller, because I like the front/back aspect, but this allows both kids to see what is going on, unlike the Britax b-ready.

DH and I have been debating on what we need for the kids. Ideally we wanted something lightweight for traveling and going out for a walk, like a Maclaren twin. But I love the functionality of a Bumbleride twin, since my girls love our Peg. However, i read reviews that a Bob duallie is worth getting over the bumbleride since its solid and worth the price. Ahhh, first world problems! :)

What were your deciding factors in getting a double stroller? Any thoughts about Maclaren, Bumbleride, Bob? Any brands you recommend?
