Mine were 26m apart and we used our double stroller all the time! DS actually just turned 5 and only recently stopped begging to sit in the second seat when we go out. We bought the baby jogger city select with two seats. We are expecting #3 and I know my DD (almost 3) will still get more use out of it once the baby is here.

My two are 2.5yo and a double would've been a wasted of $$ for us but we did get a Lascal Buggy board and it's been brilliant!

my DD is 17mo currently and im due with #2 in March. They will be exactly 2 years apart. i got an uppababy vista when she was 6mo old and sold it a few months ago and don't regret it. I hated how heavy it was and it just felt so big. I got the MB nano and love it. I don't miss my vista at all.

I've been thinking about if I need a double stroller. I think I do, since they will only be 2 years apart. I came across this stroller, which has great reviews

Honestly, I think it depends on the type of kids you have. DS1 didn't like the stroller fairly quickly so we only used our double a short time. By 26 months, it wouldn't have been worth to get. Then DS2 also walked a lot because he didn't want to be in it if big brother wasn't in it. I have three kids all within 4 years and we didn't use it much. But I'm also a working mom so weekends would be the only time to use it. If we go to mall which is rarely, we rent the double decker stroller.

Mine are 27 months apart and I waited too after baby was born to get a double since my first wasn't a big stroller kid. She became one after DD2 got to ride lol. Glad I waited but definitely glad I got one.

@JLC53: We bought the newer version of the Uppababy that lets both seats face either way. It's really expensive (we found a 25% off sale) but I think worth it - so easy to handle, giant basket, and so many options for facing forward/backwards/bucket seat/etc.

I would 100% wait until the baby has arrived and see at that time how your son likes that stroller and if you'd actually use it. You may find by that time that he only likes to walk or that you prefer having baby in a carrier.

@erinbaderin: yes, I am hoping I get pregnant as quickly as I did the first go around but I understand that could play a factor, my son will be around 2 1/2.

My son doesn't hate or love the stroller.
Which stroller did you purchase and do you like it?

Your son will be 2.5 when you have the second baby? (assuming that you get pregnant fairly quickly) How is your son in the stroller now, does he like it?

We had a 26 month gap between our kids, and bought a double stroller. Like you, we mostly just use it to go to the mall, the zoo, etc, but a handful of times a month over a few years really adds up - the kids are 1.5 and 3.5 now and we still use it for places where there will be a lot of walking. We sold our Uppababy and invested in a new one (our old one would only allow the rumble seat to face in) and it has been worth every penny for us.

A few months ago I posted about being on the fence about having a second baby and now I am actually getting excited about it. So I think it will be time to start trying soon! Depending on when I actually get pregnant, my son will be around 2 1/2.

The crazy type A person I am is already thinking about the things I will need for a second baby and if I will need a double stroller? Honestly, we don't use our current stroller all that much. Only at places like the Zoo, mall, etc... Maybe a handful of times a month at best. I have the city mini GT and I do really love it. Only thing I hate is the storage.

If you were me, would you get a double stroller. And which one would you get? Would you sell the city mini GT and get one of the expensive ones that can change to all different options. Would you keep the city mini and get a cheaper double to use occasionally?

Help me sort this out...
