These all look like great strollers ..... but hey really still close to 30 lbs. And if that's the case....I'll just use my cities mini double gt. I was hoping for a more light weight solution that would involve a big "heave ho" every morning and afternoon in my work clothes. In the past my body rubbed against the cat when I lift the big stroller in and out.

@twodoghouse: I'm pro-baby wearing ..... (not to sound like negative nelly....but.....) but I don't see myself pulling that off in the fall/winter coat season.....I'm anticipating at 16 months (end october) still needing to use do this.

I see some lighter weight strollers online but don't know if they are junky or would work for this daily, but short trip in and out of daycare.....

Anyone have experience here? Thanks!!!!

We have a macclairen double and got used. They are pretty easy to find second hand around here. I dont have twins just two huge kids who are 18 months apart. I dont mind it, take it on the subway and such... I also sometimes babywear and use the little umbrella, but it's different with siblings, not twins.

I don't have twins, but worked a nanny share with same age kids for a few years. My favorite option was tossing one on my back in the ergo and a cheap $15 umbrella stroller for the other.

I don't know if you're into baby wearing, but it was a lifesaver for me with the twins in that in between stage when they could walk well, but weren't great at holding my hands, or both walking in the same direction, etc. I'd throw one on my back in the Tula and carry the other, or hold her hand while she walked, to get into grocery stores, libraries, parks, etc. For me, that was a lot easier than messing with a stroller when I was on my own with them.

We have the Chicco Echo Twin and really like it. We've used it more often than I thought we would when I first bought it.

We like our Joovy Caboose and it's way easier to open and close than our Maclaren umbrella.

Any recommendations for a light weight double umbrella stroller (preferably that also isn't super expensive?) We have a city mini double gt for neighborhood walks and zoo trips, etc. So I don't need bells and whistles on the umbrella....

I'm looking for something to use to bring my twins in and out of daycare when they outgrow their bucket seats / snap n go style stroller. I think it's going to be a while after they are even walking before I'm ready to trust them in a parking lot....haha

TIA!

ETA: fitting through the doorway at daycare will be important.
