I plan to.. between me my husband we pretty much eat it all even though we each have our own restrictions/preferences so hopefully we've got it covered.

I don't like condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc) at all. We don't keep them in the house but MIL and FIL feed them to LO. I really hope she doesn't start to really like them.

When I am pressed for time, I sometimes feed her Gerber entrees or a Chef Boyardee cup of spaghettios...things I would not eat myself. Usually though, she eats what I make for the whole family to eat.

Yes. I'm a picky eater and although I've made strides in what I will eat, there's still plenty I don't care for. I hope DS is more like my husband and will eat anything. I definitely hope exposing him to lots of different things now will create a more diverse palate for him. Being a picky eater is not fun.

This is something I kind of worry about. I have Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, so there are a LOT of things I can't eat. Thankfully DH eats pretty much everything (seriously, it's bizarre to me), but I still worry I'll be a bad influence on LO. And there are some things I can't stand the smell of to the point that I won't be able to make them at all. It's going to take a lot of conscious effort to be sure and expose LO to lots of different foods at home. At least when we go out DH usually orders a wide variety of things, so he can let LO try whatever then. DH was eating oysters before he was in kindergarten, and I'd really like LO to be like that, not like me!

I hate pinapple and coconut (shhhh, I know...) but I feed them both to L because I think it's important to expose him to everything. Just because I don't particularly like it, doesn't mean he will grow up feeling the same and personally I don't really want him to feel like he must like/dislike everything I like/dislike.

Yes, of course I will offer her foods I don't like, but I would never force her to eat anything she didn't like (especially if it was something I myself didn't like either!) I think it's really important to offer children a variety of choices from early on and since we have done BLW, we (meaning DH and I) actually eat better and healthier then we did before as a result. It's a win win!

Yes! I'm a horribly picky eater despite my parent's best efforts and I don't want my sons to grow up eating only the foods I do (and I'm sure my DH would get sick of it too) so I make a point to make something for dinner that I don't like about one night a week. I totally don't eat it though, I make myself something separate those nights because most of my dislikes are a textural thing for me and I don't think it would do much good for them to see me gagging on whatever it is that they're eating!

I'm hoping that LO likes everything or at least gets to try it. I'm not so concerned with my diet, since I eat almost anything (except olives, definitely not olives). DH Is worse about fruits and veggies - so we have already been talking about him having to "try" things as well as we introduce them to LO because at a certain point, LO is going to pick up on the fact that daddy won't eat peaches or Brussels sprouts, etc.

I think especially if it's something you don't eat just because you don't like it, your kids should get to try it and decide for themselves. I wouldn't want to pass any weird food things on to my kids, haha. Like when my cousin was a toddler, she was eating broccoli and my uncle (her dad) was like, "Ew, you don't want to eat that!" And the guy has a terrible diet! My aunt was like, "Wtf? Let her eat the healthy broccoli!"

Yes, I do. I was super picky as a child and young adult, and I think it was in part because my parents were pretty picky too, so they really limited what we had at home and the types of restaurants we would visit. I try to expose LO to as many foods as possible, even ones I don't really love.

I hate yogurt, just the smell makes me nauseous. LO eats yogurt daily so I'm getting better about that--I can only handle the smell of Fage Greek yogurt for some reason so that's what she gets.

She also eats the fat on meat. I love meat, but I don't bite into chicken wings and I rip apart my bacon. I can't handle the taste of fat. I was watching her eat a chicken wing and she just bites into it and eats the fatty parts and it kind of made me want to puke.
