Maybe wait a day or two to make sure she doesn't get it, then I would assume she's fine? Or did she have it too?

I probably over react, but stomach viruses can be contagious for up to two weeks.... So, when one hits my house the contaminated has to be at least diarrhea free for 24 hours before he or she is allowed back (my daughter had a stomach virus in September, she was upstairs for almost two weeks, which might have been an overreaction, but I was the only other person who caught it). Little kids are germy for longer, so your mom could be ok.

I think with stomach bugs they are contagious only from bodily fluids, I would think as long as she doesn't have symptoms and she washes her hands really well it would be fine.

My Mom went to California to see my sisters family. While she was there they all came down with something from Friday to Monday- I don't know all the symptoms but vomiting was one of them. My Mom left Monday in the morning and has no symptoms. She's anxious to see our 2 month old since she was gone for 10 days. I want to take 0 chances of my girl getting sick. What's the wait period for something like this?
