On the sides of my ribs, underarms, back of knees, upper thighs, and around my waist and hips. I was freaking out at first worried that it was bed bugs or fleas because I only started with a few and then got more and more each day for up to a wk until I finally was able to be seen by a dermatologist. Google was scaring me with scabies and I was freaking out worried that I could pass it to my Dd who still occasionally crawls into my bed in the MOTN. Well the dermatologist said it was a virus called Pityriasis Rosea and being a teacher I probably caught it from a student. She said it’s going around right now. She said the virus is contagious but the rash part is not. And I’m ok if my daughter touches me because I was already contagious before I got the rash and if she were to get it it would’ve already happened before the rash. The location is kind of weird ... thighs, underarms and top of arms, a few elsewhere, nothing on hands, feet or face. She does seem fussy today but no fever.
