It was a lonely time but HB really helped. </p> <p>And I planned my wedding back in 2009, peak weddingbee days. So it has been 12 years of following along the Bee family - I am very curious about how they have fared during covid on the island, especially given the decreased tourism. I also hope there was some justice re: Mr Bee's mother's murder. As if it’s less to blame on that age and it’s you or the kid that is doing something wrong. I have definitely posted here what I might not post on my neighborhood mom group! I guess part of that too is anonymity. It was there for me when I was pregnant and having small kids, but as my kids grow up I feel like there's less I need the community support for. BUT going against all that, I was listening to a podcast recently that talked about how we feel more shame about our kids issues as they age and we don't talk about them the way we do when they're babies and that is absolutely true. I've been online since the very early days of the internet and have seen it change so much. My understanding, though it isn't my area of expertise, is that changes in ad algorithms have really favored major platforms, and make it hard for a site like hellobee to be profitable. If they remove liability protection for content posted on your platform, which has merits, that will just further favor the big sites.
