I do it every night twice and it works so well. I don't really wake him, I just put the nipple in his mouth (bottle) and after a couple of second, he just goes at it! I don't know if it would work the same for bfing or not.

@PurpleUnicorn: we did it bbetween 4-6 months and it didn't lessen the amount of night wakings.

Then I tried it again recently at 12 months and now he is permanently waking up at 6:30am when he used to sleep until 8:30am! It's been a couple months and his sleep never went back to what it was.

I was doing one for awhile in the beginning with a bottle. She would just eat in her sleep. We stopped doing it when her bedtime just naturally started to align with her 9pm feeding. It's also when I turn in, give or take an hour.

Unfortunately it wasn't a success for us! Instead it made him get up MORE. I have ruined his sleep!

@yoursilverlining: how did u do in the beginning? did u ever do it without a bottle? i just did mine. took him out of his crib and onto bed (there is also a bed in his room) and fed him. he was pretty sound asleep, so he sucked, but not sure how much he drank. i guess i will see how the rest of the night goes!

LO is almost a year and we still do a dreamfeed (have done one from the start). I don't think she needs it, but she goes nuts for it in her sleep, so I still give it to her. I don't pick her up, just pop in the bottle and she downs it in her sleep.

@Navy_Mommy: sounds good! now that i think about it, i think we have a good chance. i was out of town a couple of weeks ago and he always fell asleep in the car and before i went to sleep each night, i would feed him and he went right back to sleep....but still woke a few hours later, but that could have been due to a number of factors since we were OOT and he had to sleep in his pnp...

I did with DS for months. From what I understand either it'll work or it won't depending on your kid so just give it a try! I still do if DS is asleep in the car and I wanna transfer him to his crib.. .as soon as I pull him from his seat my boob goes in his mouth and I walk upstairs with him like that, lol. Works 99% of the time!

L used to STTN....not anymore! i guess we hit this so called 4 month sleep regression (but it started closer to 5 months) and it just got worse and worse. I've also been working on moving L's bedtime from 10pm to 8pm. Tonight was one of the first nights he is successfully asleep by 8pm, yay! However, he has also been waking up anywhere from 12-2am. I go to sleep around 11pm and that first wake up has just been killing me! So i am thinking to do a dream feed around 10 or 10:30pm tonight. I am just afraid of waking him and him not going back to sleep!

any success stories or tips for dreamfeeders??
