I'd buy the bigger one and pay a smaller fee to have it taken in should you lose weight than to buy the smaller one, not fit it, be super sad, and fork over more money to buy a new dress.

Is there any way you could wait and order the dress a little closer to the wedding? That way you would have a better idea of what your body would like like in June.

I would buy the bigger and fingers crossed you just have to pay to get it taken in. June is awhile away but that still is a lot of pressure to lose the weight by then.

I was going to write exact same as @Ash. You can always have it taken in, but don't put the pressure on yourself to have to lose for a dress :)

I'd probably buy the bigger size just to be safe... and then it can be taken in if you do go down a size. Even though a smaller size could motivate you to lose the pounds, if it doesn't happen, you're out a dress.

I'm trying to buy a dress online to wear to a wedding in June. I'm between two sizes based on some of my measurements, but closer to the bigger size. I'm currently 7 weeks postpartum. I'd like to lose the weight to be at the smaller size by the wedding, but I've never really had to work on weight loss before and I'm afraid it won't happen. The dress is on a deals site right now and is non-returnable, so buying both and returning one isn't an option.

Would you buy the bigger dress that you fit in at 7 weeks postpartum, in case you don't lose the weight? Or would you buy the dress in the next size down and be certain to lose it in the next 3 months?
