People tend to get those baby-specific dressers after little use and then upgrade to 'big' kid dressers for the pre-schoolers. Consider using another piece of furniture. I really disliked getting a specific use furniture piece, so I used a buffet for my first (I just secured the changing pad to the top with a screw in back). I used a TV stand for my second (I got an extender for the strap and looped that around the bottom to secure the changing pad). It’s very sturdy and looks great too. My daughter is almost six and we’ve had it for her and for my son. We actually just got a regular dresser for my son and moved this one to the nursery to get ready for baby #3. My son is not two yet and still in diapers so we just moved the changing table part on top of his dresser for now. I don't own this but have had really good experiences with furniture from walmart. Currently we are using a crib, dressser and changing table that we got from walmart over 5 years ago.
