@shopaholic: thanks!

I really don't think wrinkles matter for babies...they're spitting up and drooling all over their clothes anyways :)

Love the little dress and cropped cardi!

@tinyperson: So so cute!

So in the end, she spit up on the J&J dress and it suddenly got cool and very breezy. So we did a more poufy dress (wrinkles didn't matter), leggings, and a cardi!

We have that problem, especially on Sundays. Today she wore a fancy dress that had a small crinoline underneath, and DH was concerned about getting the straps tight enough and wrinkles. We just made it work. I love her in dresses in this hot weather...so nice and breezy!

Dresses get scrunched at the crotch, but I never noticed much wrinkling..
Maybe because I don't care about it? HAha. Have K wear the dresses!!

The dresses just get wrinkled. I do like leggings under dresses though for more durability. Plus DD doesn't walk well quite yet, so she needs the extra padding on her knees from the leggings for all of the crawling she does on the ground.

@78h2o: :). She ended up spitting up on the dress while I was putting it on her! Should have changed "on location!"

Funny, LO wore a J and J dress to church today and I was thinking how much I hated wrinkling it up with the carseat. For church though, that's what I did/do. For photos, I dress her on location :)

I have traveling clothes that I put her in if its a longer trip. Usually a one piece footie with snaps. For short trips I put on leggings. I don't mind changing her in the car.

@shopaholic: not silly. If I had a girl, I'd put her in her seat with a white onesie and then slip the dress on in the car once I arrived at my destination. Inconvenient? Maybe. But these are our kids and I pretty much do anything or cuteness and spoiling them! LO takes his shoes off in his carseat, so I leave them in my purse and when we get to where we need to be, I take him out, put him in the stroller and then out his shoes on. He can't reach them to take them off;)

She wears them fine in her carseat. They never get too wrinkled where they look bad and they don't make her uncomfortable being strapped in.

I just try to put her in as neatly as possible. Occasionally I would slip a dress over her head at our destination in the winter, but she was always wearing a onesie and tights underneath so it wasn't a big production.

Ha, well wrinkling doesn't worry me at all. The only thing I fear is blowouts - so if my pooping machine hasn't gone yet, I would wait until we got there because I would hate for her to ruin the dress/nice clothes before we even arrived!

We're going to our first real kiddie bday party today with K. She has a TON of dresses we never really get around to wearing partly because we have to go everywhere in a car. Then I feel like the dresses get all scrunched up and wrinkled and she looks funny strapped into the car seat. The alternative I've been doing is putting on leggings under the dress when she is in the car seat.

I want to put her in the cute J&J dress today, but thinking of changing her in the car when we get there. lol! Silly, I know...

What do you do about dresses and car-seats?
