A little cheaper than the Beco brand ones and they fit fine. I wouldn't call it a necessity. My son drools and would suck and chew on the straps so it's nice to just wash the pads and not the whole carrier. Now I tuck a burp cloth inbetween her and the Gemini and fold it over the top and tuck it under the snapped-down sleep hood. I have the drool pads on the straps for the other carries. I get done with one load, get her out of the carrier long enough to put H down for his morning nap but when I go to put her back in the carrier, I noticed something. The front flap is soaked - and I mean <i>soaked</i> - from her drool. A few hours later and the drool soaked Beco Gemini still isn't dry. </p> <p>Suggestions for soaking up drool while baby wearing or drying drool faster then air drying? </p>
