@Mrs. High Heels: I have those in my Amazon shopping cart! But I'm thinking she won't keep her head still for me to even use the bulb, or little scraper thing I have from Taiwan. How the heck can I get in there with tweezers?

C gets these all the time. Saline spray and the nosefrida are the only combination that gets them out. He hates the saline, so it's a battle!

@rachiecakes: How old when he figured out how to blow his nose?

@mssally: @sunny: @tysonja: Hmm... I've never tried a saline spray on DD. I will have to try that tomorrow, though I have a feeling she's going to kick and fight me even more after that experience?

@sandy: @skibobrown: That's a really good point! I haven't opened the humidifier for her room yet! IDK why, since we use one. Will set that up tomorrow and see if that helps! Thanks!

i know this sounds weird but i've seen it done on toddlers and babies (my own included)... but you kind of lean them over warm water (bath or sink) and use your cupped hand to kind of gently push a little water up their nose and let it drip down. i was scared he would snort it up and get all uncomfortable but somehow it didn't happen! again just another way to loosen and moisten the dry boogies :) saline spray sounds like a good way to do the same thing!

I agree with the suggestions of the saline spray and bath. My LO also freaks out when I try to do the saline spray and nose frida but I can't stand looking at those boogers!

I agree with suggestions for some kind of moisture -- a warm washcloth, humidifier, or a warm bath. My daughter also flips out if I try to remove one of those horrible caked on boogers!

My LO had so many dry boogies when she was an infant so I ran a humidifier in her room which helped a lot so I could suck out her boogies with the nosefrieda.

I've used saline spray too but this was when she was sick and super congested...the spray would help loosen the thick mucus and help it work it's way out

Did you try saline drops before using the Nosefrida? I play with my LO and get her in a good mood.. then put a drop of the saline drops in her nostrils.. then distract her again with toys and play and smile. Then hubs and I use the Nosefrida to suck those suckers out.

They really loosen up in a warm bath. J haaates the bulb and the Nosefrida. I've shown him how I blow my nose and try to get him after a bath with a tissue. It's been somewhat successful.

Up until recently, DD had been pretty good about letting me get any boogers out of her nose. Now, it's an entirely different thing. Diaper changes are HARD, but trying to get a darn booger out of her nose turns into a the worst battle ever! Between the squirmy, rolling, kicking, and head shaking, even with DH and I both holding different body parts, it's impossible! She's had the same two huge, dry boogers in there for 2 days and I can hear the congested breathing because of them! DH tells me just to leave them alone, and they're too far to reach with my fingers. The bulb and the NoseFrida don't work on the dry boogers, not that she lets me near her with those either!

What do you do? And please don't say "when LO is sleeping" because I have the lightest sleeper ever.
