@stiletto_mom: Ok I see. When you said Moroccan Oil vs Argan Oil I thought of the brand. But Moroccan Oil (brand) IS Argan oil. And Moroccan Argan Oil is just Argan Oil. Not sure if that makes sense. It's all the same thing, not 3 different things.

The BRAND Moroccan Oil is the best stuff. I use the shampoo and conditioner. I rotate what oils / serums I use but that is definitely one of them.
Check out One n Only brand Argan oil. It's very comparable and I've bought it when I don't feel like shelling out $40 per bottle! It's more like $10/bottle.

My mom stylist told her to use this. Found it on amazon.

Yes! That's definitely helpful. But it's weird, the oil the stylist used in my hair (I looked at the bottle) wasn't the brand Morrocanoil. It was Cynos or something and in small letters specified that it was "Morrocan Argan Oil".

I wonder if it was a knock-off or a cheap brand. Hmm

So Morrocan Oil is argan oil. Morrocan Oil is the brand. It's amazing but expensive. A comparable but cheaper option is One n Only Argan Oil. It smells exactly the same (amazing) and seems to be pretty similar but less money.
Morrocan Oil also makes a "light" version of the oil for thinner/finer hair. It's not as thick/heavy. They do make sample/travel sizes if you want to test it out.

I think that coconut oil isn't something you leave in your hair or use on dry hair like you can with Morrocan (Argan) oil. It's too oily. Same with olive oil. I think both of them you use for deep conditioning and then rinse/wash out.

And tea tree oil is actually used for dandruff and acne, I think. I think It's mostly in men's products.

Hope this helps!

I got a haircut the other day and the stylist said my hair is quite dry and falling out in places. He recommended a little Morrocan Oil and put some in my hair which helped to tame some of the post-wash frizz.

I have medium-thin straight hair. But I feel overwhelmed with the "oil options" out there.

What's the difference between Morrocan Oil, Argan Oil, Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Coconut Oil etc and how do I know what I need for my hair type?!
