Cetaphil is great and mild for dry skin and eczema. If you think it's something else, you'll want to see a dermatologist. Dermatitis is often treated with steroid creams.

It could be wind burn! My skin has taken a beating lately

Ok now I'm leaning toward perioral dermatitis. Anyone have any experience?

@jessibear: It was awhile ago, but I think I just used lotion with healing stuff in it from a drug store, like the kind you use for severely dry skin (Eucerin, Curel, Aquaphor--one of those kinds of brands). I hope it feels better soon, and also happy birthday!

@Nana87: It has been FREEZING and very windy. We're in Iowa and this week has been in the negatives with windchill quite a bit. Did anything help when you got it?

Has it been really windy and cold where you are? It could be chilblains. I got that once all over my legs when I wore stockings in winter, owwwww!

I woke up this morning with a hot, swollen, red, rash all along my cheeks, eye lids and forehead. I went to the walk in clinic this morning, because I've also been dealing with sinus-related issues. The nurse practitioner diagnosed me with a sinus infection but said the rash is just dry skin. Has anyone ever had this happen? It looks like I got stung by bees and is hot, red and burns. I haven't changed any products in the last month. Of course, my husband and I have a date tonight to celebrate my birthday and I look like I got in a fight with a bunch of bees.
