What about one of those mesh breathable bumpers? I didn't even have the monitor on - but I HEARD the bang. OMG I was freaking out... I just picked him up and held him and kissed him and he fell asleep in my arms. checked his head today and I couldn't find any marks or bumps so I assume it wasn't as hard as I thought.</p> <p>Then this morning, DH got DS out of bed and his foot was stuck through the crib slat... </p> <p>Now I'm seriously considering a bumper... DS is 6 months old - would it be "safe" now that he's a little older?? </p>
