I'd be okay with using a bumper given all the moving around he seems to be doing in his sleep.

@coco bee: ya they are on the thin side and wouldnt offer to much protection for his head :( hmmm.. i would go with a regular bumper and see how he does with it, he seesm old enough that if he got stuck he would be able to roll away from it....

@stargal: well... the breathable bumpers are really thin, it wouldn't give padding if he hit his head... it would only guard against getting his arms/legs stuck. That is so sad :( seriously I think cribs are like mini-prisons lol

ohhh poor little guy!! What about one of those mesh breathable bumpers? Pierson is only 6 weeks but he got his legs stuck in his crib twice now even when we set him far awy from the slates he somehow scoots his way over, its crazy and it breaks my heart to hear him scream when it happened

aww poor cobi! :( i think a bumper would be safe too since he's rolling around.

Last night I put Cobi to sleep and he was moving around in his bed fighting sleep, he banged his head into the crib and started screaming. I didn't even have the monitor on - but I HEARD the bang. OMG I was freaking out... I just picked him up and held him and kissed him and he fell asleep in my arms. checked his head today and I couldn't find any marks or bumps so I assume it wasn't as hard as I thought.

Then this morning, DH got DS out of bed and his foot was stuck through the crib slat...

Now I'm seriously considering a bumper... DS is 6 months old - would it be "safe" now that he's a little older??
