@graceandjoy: same with my 2 yo. I was rocking him last night and he was wide awake, clapping his hands and picking his nose and giving me the boogers....

My 4 year old was pretty much no change, woke up a little later, went to sleep a little later but totally within "tolerance".

My 2 year old on the other hand, has been refusing to sleep till like 9:30-10pm this week, so that's fun :silly:

It’s actually been really good here, knock on wood. They’re going to sleep at the same time but instead of waking at 5:30ish they’re sleeping til almost 7!

We don’t change time where we live. But we are also close-ish to the equator, so we get roughly 12 hours of daylight year round.

Yesterday was fine bc the baby was a mess when we got home after being out all day afternoon on Sunday and went to sleep at the “new” normal time. Tonight at normal bedtime she was nursing but not falling asleep and kind of looking at me like uh mom, it’s 5 o’clock... so I kept her up for another half hour.

My older one didn’t go right to sleep either night but that’s normal these days!

Last night was fine. This morning was rough. My 6yo had trouble getting out of bed and out the door with DH by 7am. I dropped my 3.5yo off at 7:40 (7 is the target) and he was the first one there even at that time.

We had a very busy Sunday, so I can’t say for sure if it was DST or not, but LO asked to take a little nap around 5:30 pm. He didn’t wake up until 10 pm and besides going to sleep when it was light out and now it was for sure bedtime he was totally cool with it. A couple books, little snack and he was back to sleep for the night.

For older kids it was totally fine - they were tired in time to go to bed. Baby got a little messed up I think - she slept in and I think probably didn’t get enough daytime calories and was up at night after STTN a few times - but hopefully can get back on track tonight.

It was fine. My son needed a nap yesterday (doesn’t nap anymore) and ended up with a two hour one. Then he went to bed late and got some special mom/movie time and slept in later then normal today. Wins all around.

We usually just stick to the same schedule.

I truly dislike the annual time changes but they seem to not cause too much trouble at home with bedtimes/wakeups/naps (so far). Yesterday the baby pleasantly surprised us and this morning it was a later-than-usual wake up for the 6yo but not too late to get the morning routine done.

I on the other hand snoozed my alarm like 3 times :silly:

We’re a mess anyway, because we just got back from Disney World, where the kids were up way late and my almost 3 year old didn’t nap all week, so bedtime yesterday went generally ok because everybody is already wiped. Oh, and now that I’m thinking about it it was late anyway, because my big kid pushed my little kid off the trampoline and cut his head and bled everywhere, so that was dramatic and delayed bedtime. My older son slept until 7 this morning which may be a problem tomorrow when we’re back at work and he needs to go back to getting up at 6, but we’ll see...

@kiddosc: same. We’ve never overthought it and it’s always been a non-issue. Maybe a morning or two of weirdness but we are so militant about our schedule that it’s pretty easy to get back on track.

Pretty “meh” at our house. He’s gone to bed a bit later and woken up a bit later. Still the same number of hours of sleep. I SAH though so we have the luxury to let him sleep in.

This time change has always been easier for us than the one in the fall. DS1 actually spent last night at my parents'...they always let him stay up late anyway and never make him nap so his schedule is always a little wonky when he gets back from their house. I figured rolling that into the time change would hopefully cancel each other out and he'll just go to bed at a normal time tonight.

DS2 (1 year old) took a long time to fall asleep last night but slept until 8 this morning when normally he's been waking up between 6-6:30. I'll take it!

I'll go first... (second :silly: )

It was a bit of a mess in my house.

DS who usually goes up to bed at 7 went up at 7, did normal routine and he did not go down. I tried again and still no luck.. DH then stepped in and he can usually get it done but even he couldn't get DS to calm enough to sleep...

meanwhile I had started DD's bedtime at 730 (while we could hear DH and DS crying) and she was chatty Kathy and not at all ready for bed.. soooo finally after another 2o mins of me trying to get DD calmed down DH gave up DS and I went into DS and finally got him to sleep after another 20 mins.. only to come out and DD was still awake.. UGHHHH..

Both were finally asleep at 9... which I guess to them felt normal!!!
