I mean, he puts on the red cardigan and the sneakers. He has a trolley that goes through his neighborhood. They do the real-life visits to places. </p> <p>My sister and her son (who is 3 months younger than D) watch DT. And I know my other close mom-friend knows who he is. Outside of that, I barely discuss it. We do show him videos of himself on our phones, and he facetimes with his grandparents. And I am personally horribly hooked on my phone and my laptop. I just hate a lot of things about tv! We are currently a mostly tv-free household, especially when our toddler is awake.</p> <p>Cartoon voices are soooooo annoying! I am going to continue to keep this place TV-free. Our LO is obsessed. He is also going to be Daniel for Halloween. It's also the only show he has ever been allowed to watch besides Thomas! ;) I should also mention that I don't have a ton of friends with toddlers. Many of my friends got married and had kids years before me. I feel like for me it's mainly HB friends. :P Most other parents and their kids are more familiar with the highly commercialized shows like Sofia the first, etc.</p> <p>How would you explain, in 10 seconds, who DT is? My daughter is dressing up as DT for Halloween and I'm expecting questions! :P<br /> I've just been telling people he's the cartoon version of Mister Rogers. Then if I have time getting into how all the parents were his puppets and the main characters are their kids. </p>
