My OB doesn't change due dates after the anatomy scan unless the baby is measuring more than 2 weeks large/small.

I measured ahead nearly 2 weeks the whole time and they never changed mine. She ended up coming 6 days late and weighed 10lbs8oz. lol

I'm soo glad you posted this actually and I got to read all the responses - I also have super long cycles so they gave me an EDD based on baby's size at our 7 wk u/s (which I've also heard is the most accurate dating) but baby has been measuring ahead by almost 2wks since then so they've changed our due date to earlier - which I so don't get because although she may be taller and heavier than her week's development, surely her actual development (lungs etc) isn't speeding up? weird.

I can't go by LMP because my cycles are really long. I track ovulation and at the first appointment I knew I was 6w 4d, but the ultrasound measured 6w 1d, so that's what they went with. I had additional ultrasounds at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 17 weeks, and 21 weeks that all measured exactly a week ahead of their due date consistently (so 3-4 days ahead of mine based on ovulation and 7+ based on the first ultrasound), but they won't change it. I have ultrasounds monthly and at my last one, he was measuring 2-3 weeks ahead. They are still adamant that the very first one at 6 weeks was the most accurate even though the other 2 first trimester ultrasounds both measured a week ahead.

It's just frustrating now because I keep hearing how I have a "huge" baby.

I know the EDD is more accurate in the first trimester when measuring it from ultrasound. My OB doesn't change it after the first trimester! I doubt it'll make that big of a difference, baby will come when it's ready, as we all know!

My due date was changed by one week at the NT scan because LO was measuring larger. However I was pretty positive when my LMP was and when I ovulated. LO was born 1 day after my original due date...but 8 days after the new due date.

They changed my due date ahead by three days after the first ultrasound. But I was charting and knew to the minute when we conceived. She was born three days after their due date, on my charting due date!

I was positive on the date of my LMP so my OB went by that date the entire pregnancy which gave me a due date of January 6. LO measured like 1-2 week ahead of schedule for my entire pregnancy, but we didn't change anything. He ended up coming on Jan. 3. How cool is that?

The practice I go to doesn't change your due date unless the difference is 5+ days. Our baby was measuring 1 day ahead at the 12w NT scan and a couple days ahead on the 20w scan (depending on which measurements you go by...it varied from exactly right to 3 days ahead, so I guess maybe the average was about 2 days?). So my DD has never been changed even though the dates were slightly off at both scans.

My ob gave me a window of a few days with my first even though I was charting and knew the date of conception. When the time came close, he told me he thought I'd go into labor on my own over the weekend and I did!

With this pregnancy, I thought I'd be due end of Feb, like the 28th based on LMP, but I was unsure of the length of my cycles since I'd only had my period back twice. My sono a month ago indicated my date was off a week and gave me a EDD of 3/8. So I'm just guessing anywhere in that week!

So, according to my LMP and the dates that we DTD was saying the due date for this baby should be January 3rd. When we went in for the 9 week ultrasound (or whenever it is in the first trimester) they changed my due date to January 5th. Today at my 20 week 1 day scan the baby was measuring big (12 ounces already!!) and it would put the due date to January 2. So, really that is three day difference, do you think they'll change my due date again? What happened with you? In both my other pregnancies my due date was never moved, even if LMP dates were off.
