He would pick him up and then when he wanted to put him back down, my son would lift up his legs off the ground, like as if he didn't want his feet to touch the ground. We just assumed he was really tired so we headed back to the car and then he started crying and complaining because he didn't want to leave. ARG!!! We sat him on a bench and he kept pointing to his shoes. When I took them off, I found 2 small rocks in his left shoe, which were bothering him. DUH! She wasn't hungry, she was just miserable and fussy. I started walking around with her and found she stopped fussing so much when I was in a dark, quiet, cooler part of the house. Duh. She was hot and wanted darkness and quiet so she could nap. </p> <p>Today I haven't turned on the TV and I closed all of the blinds so it's quite dark in the family room. She's been sleeping in her swing for hours. </p> <p>What was your latest "duh" moment in parenting? </p>
