It's Ok. I don't like to empty it (who does??? all the hair gets trapped around the filter...) so I rarely use it (once per month?). I usually just take my miele canister (corded, with bag) out of the closet and vacuum my whole kitchen and dining room and call it done... (multiple times a week, my house is not big unfortunately)</p> <p>Just make sure that if you buy a handheld, that it is at least 16V, lithium battery... and then look at how to empty it.<br /> I bought mine at least 5 years ago ( and it is a model not sold anymore on black and decker. the similar model now is a compact one at 10.6V... so amazon is selling their leftover stock). Now, if I had to buy one today, i would probably buy a dyson stock vac.
