I just went through this exact thing with my almost 12 month old. He was sticking his fingers in his ear and then had dried blood from scratching at it. He's getting in his molars and he slept fine, so I didn't pay it much attention. Well, we went to the pediatrician for something else and turns out he had an ear infection :bummed: It's worth getting it checked out to rule anything out!

I would take her in to get her ears checked out. In my experience, playing with the ears is a symptom all in itself. It's her best way of telling you her ears hurt.

WWYD? LO has been a little "off" lately (weird sleep patterns), but we figured it was a little 12 month sleep regression. We noticed she's been digging in and tugging at her ears. She's also teething (getting one of her bottom teeth).

Would the ear tugging/digging bother you? She doesn't have a fever, or funky smell (is this a thing?). Today, her nanny texted to tell me there was dried blood inside her ear.

I've emailed the doctor, but wasn't sure if this is an "emergency" for the nurses in the office. I assume she just scratched inside her ear.
