Most places ask to see proof of first vaccines.<br /> It was a HUGE shock that she just sort of jumped.. but did not cry AT ALL. I expected to hear her cry the way she does with getting vaccines but nope. I was going to wait until my daughter did the same, but here in Mexico they usually do it at birth so I kept an open mind, and we had them do it at the hospital when she was less than three days old. At this age she doesn't touch her ears and we don't even have to clean them or anything. I can't believe I had such a 180 on this but now I think she looks great and everyone knows she's a girl. LO got hers done one week before turning one. She handled it wonderfully. The first earring went in with barely a flinch. The second one I think would have been the same. She got really curious and kept trying to see what was happening on the side of her head. There was a brief cry involved with the second one, but it was over in a matter of seconds.
