Sounds good to me! DS1 takes a 2 hour nap at school and sleeps from 10-7. So the same - 11 hours total, but that school nap pushes his bedtime way late. He's just not tired any earlier and doesn't require a lot of sleep.

@Bao: the night before last she was still up at 9:30pm! On the weekends when she doesn't nap we send her to bed earlier, like 8:15. It's a crapshoot on whether she falls asleep or not.

DS is 2 and has been going to sleep earlier even though I've been trying to hold out for the same "bed time". He'll stay up if I play with him, etc, but if I put him to bed earlier, he'll fall asleep easily without a milk request, which NEVER happens.

BUT earlier bedtime = earlier wake up times which means earlier nap times. Oof! Watch, by the time he fully adjusts to DST, it's time to spring forward. (>_<)

We have the same deal here too - rough 11 hours and no nap. She sleeps 630-530 or so. Lately 4 am ... 😩

@Bao: yeah I hear you. If LO naps even 45 min we have a 9pm bedtime and a 6:30 wakeup, so no time in the evening or in the morning!

DS1 goes to bed at 8/8:30 and usually sleeps until 7/7:30. He's 3.5 and doesn't nap, ever. DST messed with us for a little while, but we seem to be back on track.

My 3.5 year old has been going to bed around 8:30/900 for a very long time. She wakes for the day no later than 6:30. These days (DST!!) it's more like 5:30. She naps at daycare but never on the weekends or when she's at home. But she has always been low sleep needs.

@hilsy85: she wakes up crabby half of the time haha! Yeah I guess the hours are good I just don't like the timing of it, leaves me with about an hour at night to myself and that's not much!

Sounds like 11 hours of sleep total, which is pretty good and about what my LO gets, just on a different schedule.

Has anyone had success adjusting their LO's bedtime to an earlier time? My 3 year old hasn't been falling asleep until after 9. She wakes up in the 8am hour and does not take naps. I feel like that's a pretty late bedtime for her age considering she goes to school and doesn't nap.

Any advice? Or does this sound like it's in the normal range for her age?
