Found out this morning that I have anterior placenta, so that explains why the movements are still few and far between! I feel a little better knowing that now!

@mrslace: I know- as much as I want to feel more I know it gets a little unpleasant later on. Funny you mention turbulence, the baby was actually just active during a little turbulence on my last flight just now.

I think I felt mine around the same time. For me it felt almost like turbulence in a plane. But then I didn't feel anything again for several weeks. It wasn't until maybe month 5 that I was feeling anything regularly. Be careful what you wish for! Sometimes baby's punches, kicks and rolls would be painful or wake me up from sleep! :)

I felt popcorn popping type movement at 17 weeks. It was infrequent until about 20 weeks. At 24 weeks, DH could feel it, at 34 weeks he took a video because my stomach looked like a boiling chicken pot pie.

I first knew that I felt them around 17 weeks, and it wasn't regular at all. I only felt them at first when I was laying on my back or leaning back while sitting on the couch, although I did get some mini jabs if I layed on my stomach. I probably felt her once a day, but mostly because I would lay really still with my hand on my belly and wait for it.

Some felt like muscle spasms or twitches from inside, some felt like I had a little goldfish in my belly- it reminded me of fish from the pet store bumping into the side of the plastic bag (lol, that might not make any sense, but that's what it reminded me of)!

I first felt DS around 16 or 17 weeks. It felt like muscle spasms. I don't remember how often it was that early on. I want to say at least once a day, but I'm not positive.

Twinges, like muscle spasm almost? And then one day I SAW her (18w? It was early for me but didn't happen all the time) and I totally freaked out, and started laughing in a setting where everyone was supposed to be quiet...some people turned and stared!

What did the first pokes and kicks feel like? What were you doing and how far along were you? Once they started were they pretty regular or long stretches without feeling anything?

I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and I first felt someone poking me from the inside around 17 during acupuncture, while laying on my front. Nothing for a week, then in the last week I've felt little twinges or flutters every once in a while. I am looking forward to when it's a little easier to feel and more frequent (less so to the hard jabs in the ribs I hear about).
