DS started daycare at 12 months and still took two naps. For about the first month or so he had one nap at daycare and two on the weekends, then he just dropped down to one at home. He handled it fine.

Yep, daycare transitioned my LO to 1 nap at around 8 months. He's 12 months now and still does 1 nap M-F at daycare and 2 naps at home. I don't know how they do it because at home he's a little monster by 10am needing that morning nap. He also recently transitioned from the infant room where kids nap on all different schedules to the young toddler room where everyone gets 1 nap at the same time like it sounds like your DCP does. He does fantastically well with that since everyone is napping and quiet all together. He's started napping so well during that time and comes home happy and well rested :)

My son is 12 months and he goes to daycare mwf, and does one nap at daycare and two naps at home with no issues! He def can't sleep while all the other kids are awake so it helps that he's in the older infant room where all the kids take one nap together! Before he would barely sleep in the daycare crib bc at least some kids were always up. So I think your LO will do good w the transition!

LO starts daycare next week (eek!) and I'm worried about the nap situation. She'll be 11 mo at the end of the month, and she's starting in the pre-toddler room. Most of the kids are 12-16 mo in this room, and they are all on one nap. LO still is on 2 naps, and unless something goofy happens she really still needs that morning nap. They said she could still take 2 naps but that they would work on transitioning her (probably at 12 mo? that's when she can't sleep in a crib anymore and goes to a cot for naps). The thing is that she hates missing anything, she is not an on the go napper (unless it's in the car and she's super tired). If all the other kids are playing and they just put her in a crib in the corner she isn't going to nap. But she can't sleep in at all because I have to get her to daycare pretty early, a little after 7am due to my work. So I feel like she's going to be so tired!

Any advice from bees who had their LOs transition to 1 nap earlier than they would have otherwise due to daycare? I feel like she'll do one nap at daycare and 2 at home, she's in daycare MWF so that might be doable...
