T is 13 months. He receives physical therapy for a gross motor delay. It's going really well! He's had 4 sessions and is already army crawling. he still has a long way to go but he's making excellent progress.

T is 11 months and has been in EI since the summer. We have been working with a SLP on feeding issues which are mostly resolved now so now we can focus on speech.

DD is almost 3 and gets speech therapy through EI. We started the process last summer because she had less than 10 words she could say. Now she can say so many words and is stringing together longer and longer sentences. We also learned that she needed ear tubes and had them put in over the holidays. She has made the biggest gains since then.

She will be aging out of EI this summer and they are about to start evaluating her to see if she will qualify for the school district's speech therapy. If so, she will go weekly in the fall.

I'm so thrilled with how far she has come! Cannot say enough about her amazing teachers and how much they have helped our family.

I'll play.

LO 1: N is almost 2.5. He is seen with EI for poor muscle tone in his jaw. The poor muscle tone is effecting his speech and ability to drink out of other cups then spouted sippy cups. We are also working privately with speech therapy. We will be re-testing his hearing in October when he turns 3.

LO 2: E. is 13 months. He was born 5 weeks early and struggles with low muscle tone in his jaw and upper body. He also has an extremely high palette making feeding a difficult challenge. He has made great progress with EI. He is able to take purées without thickening them. We are presently working on his pincher grasp, he still sweeps food to his mouth. Baby steps.

I'll play!

C is 7 months next week, and sees a PT weekly for plagio and torticollis. She is doing really well at her sessions and is a quick learner, so we are pleased with PT (and love our therapist). I'm not sure what exactly we are working toward since we decided not to persue helmet therapy & our relationship with children's hospital has ceased to exist (as in, they don't want to see her for any follow up appointments!) and our ped isn't concerned - so, I'm not sure who or when it's determined that her tort is corrected! We had her three month review earlier this month and it went fantastic, and they did decided to keep doing weekly PT until her six month review in June. So, we will see where that takes us!

D is 18m, in the midst of his 1 year EI checkup/testing. He will automatically qualify for services based on his diagnoses, so it's more a question of what we should focus on instead of worrying about whether or not he'll get approved for more. His main issues are oral motor, which includes speech and eating skills. He is currently dependent on a feeding tube.

@stargal: I hope your LO's testing goes well!

I'm gold but I'll still check in. LO is 2.5-ish. Adopted and brought home on thanksgiving day 2014. Called EI literally the next day. He gets speech/feeding, OT, PT, and ABA. Things are definitely improving but we are frustrated with the pace of the eating/feeding improvement.

I wanted ro make an early intervention post for members.who dont have gold, so we can talk here ☺ i often want to talk about it with othee people who have a child in it but cant. So hows it going? I will start!

LOS AGE: 2.5 years

Services: speech therapy, started at age 2.

Hows it going: he's doing great in his speech but i feel like he is still behind other kids his age. He's due for testing in june bc when they turn 3 in our state, they get moved to a different program through ei. Im a little worried about it. His therapist doesn't think he will get into the other program bc he has to be at 25 percent delay (which is good) but i think he can really benefit from more speech therapy so i am hoping.he.still qualifies, his therapist also thinks he could benefit.from it more too!

How's your lo doing?
