@maybebaby: I’ll probably wait until at least 10DPO because of all my test drama last cycle. So, 3rd or 4th... but ideally I’ll wait until the 7th! Haha- yeah right.

@CatchAFallingStar: So a little different - my cycles are short so I’ve always ovulated on days 9-10-11. BUT. Definitely healthy eggs - had our DS on try 2!

So weird this is exactly what is happening to me too! I just felt very ovulatory and got a positive opk at 9dpo and think I’m ovulating today at 10 dpo. I have never O’d this early since I have been tracking over theast couple of years that I can recall but this cycle does feel more similar to cycles I had when I was younger in terms of intensity of symptoms.

Hoping it’s not a super immature egg or something but also wasn’t prepped so only bd 0-1 and hopefully 0 tonight 🤷‍♀️ Ugh

Odd cycles can happen 🤷‍♀️.
I have ALWAYS ovulated a bit early (CD 11-13); however, as I age, it is becoming earlier and earlier (CD 8-12 on average). I have also always had longer luteal phases (13-18 days). I know for a fact that I DO, indeed, ovulate since my cycles are tracked by my RE. With my DD (who is 11), it was estimated that I ovulated on Aug 19th (which would have been CD 12). With my DS (who is 4), he was a CD 10 ovulation and I tested pregnant for him at 3 weeks and 2 days (according to the physician at the time). I was tracking and temping with my DS specifically because I had stopped BC pills the month before and wanted to know when I would ovulate.
I know you are completely aware of this, but your LH surge at CD 10 may signify that ovulation will occur 12-48 hours post surge... That puts you anywhere from a CD 10-12 OV if you tested positive for a surge in the morning of CD 10 OR a CD 11-13 OV if your surge occured in the evening. Statistically, most LH surges occur in the evening (* I had a discussion with my RE about this and was directed to read a few studies. 😉) so, chances are, you will ovulate between CD 11 and 13.

I ovulated on CD10 or CD11 when I conceived my last pregnancy. I’m typically a clockwork CD14 ovulater so I thought I had no chance that month.

You could ovulate as late as 12/13 with a positive today, a lot will depend on when your fertile CM dries up. I had fairly short cycles before I conceived my first, but wasn't tracking really. BUT I think I could venture to guess I was ovulating around the 12 day mark.

I just happened to use an OPK on CD 10 because I had a lot of cervical mucus and it was a VERY dark positive. Since getting my cycles back after baby (she’s 16 months), I’ve been ovulating closer to CD 23, so this was very surprising. We BD that night, just in case. However, I’m thinking maybe CD 11 is too early to ovulate a healthy egg (?). Anyone know you ovulated early when you conceived?
