I don't have a ton of advice because my son is still struggling at almost 4 to be completely trained. The one thing that has helped us alot is just putting him in underwear. With the pull ups he didn't seem to care if he was wet but with the underwear he was SO grossed out by peeing himself. He now rarely has an accident unless he is sleeping. He still however has major poo issues and has only gone on the potty twice! He waits till his nap and then poos in his underwear. We have tried everything but at this point his Dr. thinks we should just leave him alone and he will do it when he wants to. He does want me to change him as soon as he poos himself.

So, we have started Potty Learning with our 15 month old son. He shows many (but not all) of the signs of being ready. He understands the word potty and can sign it. He can stay dry for more than 2 hours at a time (and seems to even have some control). He can't get on the potty himself or take his clothes off just yet. He also doesn't tell us or really know when he pees or poops (or so it seems).

Mostly, we have been just sitting him on the potty, and encouraging him. He has gone peepee in the potty every morning this week (yay). He also went once during the day today.

So, the issue, is that he doesn't go all the way peepee. So after sitting on the potty we will put a trainer on and he will pee in that too. Any suggestions on how to encourage him to pee completely? Any ideas on how to get him to notice when he is wet vs dry?

I do understand it is early and we don't expect him to be fully potty trained any time soon. But I do want to encourage him and prepare him.
