Bumping this - I got my BFP two days ago and today just started getting very localized cramping/sharp pains. Not sever, but uncomfortable for sure. They only last for a few seconds and aren't regular. They seem to happen randomly or when I have to pee or move around a lot. I had a chemical two cycles ago, so I'm probably worrying more than normal.

@ChattyCathy: @MrsKoala: @winniebee: @char54: thank you!! In my head, I figured so, but this jusy feels more uncomfortable than it did at first. I agree, I feel like I'm going to bleed at any time, and there is just a lot of pressure on my cervix. Laying down has helped, and since I'm supposed to be on pelvic rest anyways, I figured staying off of my feet is not a bad idea.

@CharityAnne: @T.H.O.U.: glad to know I'm not alone (though I'm sorry you have it too). It is scary!!

@LovelyPlum: I'm there too! Last pregnancy I had really sharp shooting pains and was convinced it was ectopic but it wasn't. This time I'm having a lot of period like cramps and am convinced I am about to bleed at any time.

@LovelyPlum: I had cramping like right after my bfp and some like 2 weeks later and my hcg levels were still rising nicely. Not that that means anything. But I remember at the beginning of our due date thread a few of us were having cramping and experienced peeps were coming in and telling us how normal it is!

Yay for this thread!!! @photojane: I just posted this question earlier in a different thread because it freaks me out! I'm only about 5 weeks I think and I've been crampy ever since my bfp. Good to know it's normal and I'm not alone in my worrying!
@mrsmenow: haha I am doing the same thing!! Every time I feel a cramp I have this fear I'm going to start bleeding so I go to the bathroom to check! Guess I'm just nutty!

Bumping.

I'm 6+4, and I'm so, so sore. It feels like a ton of pressure around my pelvic bones, along with random cramping by my hip bones and ribs. Doesn't feel great, but only occasionally sharp. It has been like this for a while, but today is worse than the last few days.

I go in for my first appointment on Monday, but in the meantime: Normal??

I was definitely crampy until 9 or 10 weeks. No worries, your uterus is just stretching to accommodate baby! I think I read somewhere that during the first couple of months your uterus actually doubles in size!

I completely agre with PP, I was crampy until about 8 weeks pregnant and still every once and while (I am 11 weeks). I would go to the bathroom and look for bleeding all the time because I was sure with all the cramping there would be some, but nope I was just paranoid:)

how much pelvic cramping/discomfort is normal in early pregnancy? i'm only about a month along now, but i've had discomfort off and on for the past week (since right before my BFP). it's definitely no where near period cramping, but it's like pressure/discomfort/tightness. i know baby is getting all comfy in there and growing pretty quickly, so some cramping is normal, but this is my first time and i'm nervous!
