@magnolia: Sorry to tell you! I stayed that way for a week. Then, the cramps got worse, and I lost the mucus plug along with a nice "bloody show"--gross! That turned into contractions, and my son was born on 11/16, his due date! I was super anxious too, and really wanted it to be sooner. But, I was already 5 cm dilated when I got to the hospital.

@Mrs. BD: my early labor felt just like menstrual cramps, but they came and went, which was my clue that it was labor. Good luck, hopefully it's not too much longer!

@rainbowsprinkles: No update :( I made it through the night with the same symptoms. It doesn't stop! Still cramping my way to 39 weeks.

Hopefully, something will happen soon because this sucks! It's not labor, but it's still pretty painful. Come on baby, show your mother some respect! :)

Yes! I lost my mucus plug at 37w5d. At my 38w appt I was 2cm and 80% effaced. Later that day I had consistent cramping and started noticing contractions that evening (it was like the cramps started coming in waves and developed into contractions). Good luck!

I am 38w 3d pregnant, and today I lost my mucus plug. Shortly after, I began to notice some mild cramping that has been going on now for about 4 hours or so. It's just constant cramping...not contractions. At my last doc appointment, I was 2.5cm dilated and over 80% effaced. Is it possible that cramping is an early sign? Did anyone else have this before they went into labor? Here's hoping!!!
