@MsBadger: My LO was actually born on June 8 of last year, and we also live in WI, so I can tell you what we did last summer. At night she wore footed sleepers and she was swaddled with her arms inside a muslin blanket. During the day, we often just put little pants over a short sleeve onesie. Or had her in rompers/creepers like @swedishfish. We don't like the AC on cold, so we didn't really need long sleeves or pants most of the time unless we went to the grocery store where I always think it is freezing myself!

@danda: that completely depends on the baby. My LO got too hot in long sleeves. Every baby is different.

Those sleeper gowns (short and long sleeve), short sleeve onesies (sometimes with shorts or pants, sometimes without), and some sleeveless onesies. We don't have AC and it was warm last summer!!!!

I had a an early July baby and mostly had her in long sleeves in the beginning, unless we went on an outing where we'd spend prolonged periods of time outdoors in the warm weather. Room temp is still a little chilly for a newborn, so anyplace with air conditioning we were likely to put her in long sleeve. I also loved the long sleeve shirts and sleep-n-plays with the fold over mittens to help prevent the baby scratching herself.

I was due June 17 and R was born June 25 last year. I live in New York. My favorite outfit for her were rompers....easy to undo for diaper changes but still a complete outfit if we had to go somewhere. She rarely wore long sleeved outfits even with the AC on.

ETA - she wore a footed sleeper every night and still does. A sleep sack as well.

I'm due June 8th and live in the midwest, so the first three months will be on the warm/hot side. I'm trying to kind of accumulate clothes as I find cute things on the clearance racks, but what types (long sleeve onesies, short sleeved onesies, footed sleepers, etc.) did you use with your warm weather babies in the early months?
