@kjpugs: i'm sorry, that sucks :( we've been struggling with bedtime the past few nights and i've been thinking she's ready to change her naptimes - she had been in the habit of having a nap around an hour before bedtime and i think she just needs more awake time between nap/sleep now so we're trying to play around with naps. Maybe that will help? I hope you got some sleep last night!

@PurplePeony: this is my life right now! she has been doing exactly this, except she also crawls and pulls herself up in her crib, so she does that and then calls us to come see her because she's all proud of herself for standing herself up (and i think also scared to get herself down, especially in her sleep sack lol). But the problem is she's waking up to play super early and going to sleep later, so just sleeping less overall at night (and so are we...zzzzz...)

I agree it sounds like the 9 month sleep regression. DS wasn't "tired" until like 11pm and I was dying of exhaustion back at 5pm. lol!! Then he woke up frequently during the night, like every hour maybe? Oof. We're just now getting out of it.... Thank goodness!! Sorry you're going through it right now! *hugs*

@daniellemybelle: same here! M sleeps 7-5 or 7-7. If he's up at 5 I give him water and plop him back down and he goes back to sleep. CIO was horrible but being able to set him in his crib and him put himself to sleep is amazing!

Sounds like the 9 month regression :( I think we are headed for it. LO is still STTN for now but her morning wake up & daytime sleep are all wonky. I am trying really hard to stick to 2-3-4 for naps & a regular routine for activity & meals all day long, since that usually helps.

Did y'all ever sleep train with that consultant? I know it's not for everyone but I am glad I got over the hump & just did CIO for the whole night. I am just crossing all my fingers & toes that the 9 month regression + upcoming travel + shots isn't going to undo it all.

When's her last nap of the day? When does she eat dinner? We eat dinner at 6/6:30 and we aim for 2-3-4 for naps and that puts him in bed around 7:30-8. Before 9 months it was by 7 but he's scooted it back.

there is a 9 month sleep regression, and we had it bad - super early bedtime, crazy crazy early mornings. I just put her down when she was tired and then would get up with her and it was terrible!

I'm probably not much help, but Sadie's bedtime didn't move up until about 12m. Before that she was going to bed around 8:30. She's never gone to bed before 7 though. What is her nap schedule like?

I agree, could be an off night. How have her naps been?

My LO went to bed at 6:30 for a really long time, and even now at 20 months is usually in bed by 7!

@kjpugs: I'm so sorry you're dealing with all of this. Though my little one goes to bed later, there IS a 9 month sleep regression, and it was awful for us. It lasted maybe a month, but started getting better after 2-3 weeks. Hope that's all this is for you!

@kjpugs: @avivoca: Oh no, our sleep is still decent. I've been dreading the 9 month sleep regression. :( We start bath at 6:30 and he goes down at 7 after a 8oz bottle. Yup, nurse to bed here too! Sleep training did help us to where if we put him down awake for naps he puts himself to sleep. I wish I had advice but I feel like every time I get a handle on this crap life throws me another curve ball.

ETA: Little one only stays happy from 6:00-6:30 by watching the goodnight show on Sprout. Yup, screen time is my answer.

My LO is younger than yours, but she often goes to sleep and then wakes up and wants to party. It's almost like she treats the first phase of bedtime as a nap. Fortunately, she doesn't scream...just talks to herself and her lovey, slithers and creeps around the crib (she's just learning to crawl) and generally makes it known that she's not sleepy. After awhile, she tires herself out and crashes, but last night we put her to bed at 7, she was up a little before 8, and she didn't fall asleep for the night until 9:10. If she wasn't so easygoing, it would be a nightmare. Sooo...no advice, but lots of sympathy.

I honestly have no idea what is going on with my LO's sleep.

For probably 2-3 months she has gone to sleep within 10 minutes of 6pm every night. Before that it was a month or two of 5:30. It started out when she was an infant with 11pm or really whenever she went to sleep. Then she kept moving it up. I got her to go from 5:30 to 6 by throwing in a 4pm bottle (small.) She then takes a large bottle right before bed. Yes, we feed to sleep... FML apparently.

I won't go into our schedules/situation because there's too much to type. I will say she gets really fussy around 5pm-ish (honestly she's no fun to me after 4pm... very finicky about her happiness at that point.) Moms with earlier to bed babies her age... how did you know when to move back bedtime? How did you do it? It's 8pm and she's currently still awake and I just tried ANOTHER small (very tiny) bottle and put her down and she's screaming. I cannot understand why she's still awake. I couldn't have kept her awake because she was so fussy before bed and went down for about 30 minutes before waking up and wanting to hang out.

I am stressed beyond my limit and just do not know what to do. Am I missing something?
