It was a phase for us as well. I want to say a week or so? She woke up at 4:30 and just wouldn't go back down. It was exhausting, but it passed quickly!

@rahlyrah: Whew, okay. I think I can handle 2 weeks... but some threads were scaring me, saying it lasted for months!

It was just a phase for us (albeit, an annoying one!). He's gone through it twice, each time lasting about 2 weeks or so. This too shall pass!

Oh, it's just me, with another sleep thread...

The past few days LO has been waking up at around 4am, which I treat like a night waking, so I feed her & get her back down. She will only stay asleep for about 10 minutes & then is up crying. I try to get her back to sleep but even though she acts tired she fights it. I have been giving up at around 5am.

I did a search on the boards and it seems like a lot of folks chalk this up to a phase related to development or a nap transition. She is starting to sit up right now & in the early stages of learning to crawl, and she's also transitioning to 2 naps. Is that it? Can y'all give me hope that this will be over?

The silver lining I guess is that this has usually been her 2nd wakeup & her first wakeup has been a little later, so maybe if she can push it just a little bit later, we could drop to one night waking!?
